List your favourite instructors and martial artists and why they are your favourite etc.
My favourite Instructor would have to be my last, the Late Prof. William Rankin 10th Dan Ju-Jitsu/Budo. Even after 77 years experience and having trained with some of the strictest Japanese Instructors back in the early 1930's, he was still very approachable and eager to teach me.

Your ambition in martial arts.
To be the best I can and teach self defence to all those that feel the need to learn!

How Martial Arts Effects Communities.
Martial arts is becoming more prominent in being one of the main sources of instilling self discipline and gaining self respect in today’s society. Also martial arts are still seen as one of the best ways of learning to defend yourself, as long as the training is realistic and practical.

Explain how you would like to see martial arts develop A) in the UK and B) Worldwide.
In the UK I would like to see the Martial Arts gain more recognition, not necessary as a sport but at least on a professional level. It is Bodies like the BNMAA which are pushing for recognition like this, and I am glad to be working with them on many projects that should help in achieving this. Throughout the world it would be good to see more openness to each Arts good points, as we can all learn something from each Martial Art. I would like to see more Arts keep their values, as I see more and more grades being available by Posting video’s rather than having real tuition.

Martial Arts is loosing some of its values by becoming too much money orientated, we should all realise that it’s not how much we pay for our Training/courses but how much we can learn.
